Terms of Use

The service

Vinia identifies wines from a label photo or wine-list scan and provides AI-generated taste profiles, food pairings and value ratings. It also offers a tasting journal, a cellar manager with drink-by reminders and an AI sommelier coach. Identifications, analyses and advice are generated automatically and are approximate.

Age restriction

Vinia is rated 17+ and is intended for adults of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. By using Vinia you confirm you are of legal drinking age where you live. Vinia does not sell or facilitate the purchase or sale of alcohol.

Plans and subscriptions

Vinia offers a free tier and a paid subscription. The free tier lets you perform up to 5 wine scans a day. Vinia Premium is an auto-renewing subscription billed monthly at approximately €4.99/month (or the local-currency equivalent shown in the App Store at the time of purchase), and unlocks unlimited scans, a full synced tasting journal, the cellar manager with drink-by reminders and the AI sommelier coach.

• Free: up to 5 wine scans a day, at no cost.
• Vinia Premium: monthly auto-renewing subscription, approximately €4.99/month or the local-currency equivalent shown in the App Store at the time of purchase.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; the renewal is charged to your account within 24 hours before the end of the period.
• Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple Account Settings.
• Apple is the merchant of record for purchases made through the App Store; refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Vinia only for lawful, personal purposes. You will not misuse the app, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, upload unlawful content, or use it in any way that infringes the rights of others.

No professional advice

Vinia is an informational tool. Its wine identifications, taste profiles, food pairings and sommelier advice are not professional oenological, dietary or medical advice, and are not a substitute for professional guidance. Alcohol affects health — please drink responsibly.

Intellectual property

Vinia, its name, logo, software and content are owned by CrawlSense and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal purposes. Your tasting notes, ratings and wine photos remain yours.

App Store terms (EULA)

Vinia is licensed, not sold, to you, and may be used only under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ , except to the extent these Terms expand on it. The following Apple-required terms also apply:

• These Terms are between you and CrawlSense only, and not with Apple. CrawlSense, not Apple, is solely responsible for Vinia and its content.
• Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for Vinia; CrawlSense is solely responsible for support, which you can reach at support@crawlsense.ai.
• Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied. If Vinia fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation regarding Vinia.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to Vinia, including product liability, regulatory or intellectual-property claims; such claims are governed by these Terms and handled by CrawlSense.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties, and you agree to comply with all applicable export-control laws.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you.

Privacy

Your use of Vinia is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at /vinia/privacy, which explains what data we collect, how the AI processing and wine-photo storage work, and the choices and rights you have.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vinia is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on the app's estimates — including any health decisions related to alcohol consumption.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and are subject to the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
